Charge Reminder
One of the most common questions is "When do I charge my Watch if I am to use it for sleep tracking?" So to help, AutoSleep lets you a set a charge reminder at the most convenient time of the day. For most people this is in the evening.
The Apple Watch charges very quickly and with a simple charging strategy it can easily be used to track your sleep. Charge time is usually less than an hour and the Watch only uses 5-15% charge overnight depending on the model.
You simply set the time that you'd like the reminder. The default is 8pm but you can change this. You can turn the charge reminder on or off using the 'enable reminder' toggle.
Setting up the Charge Reminder
Go to Settings and tap into Charge Reminder. You simply set the time that you'd like the reminder using the '-' and '+' symbols. The default is 8pm but you can change this. We find the best time for most people is in the evening before bed during the time you might normally be relaxing. You can turn the charge reminder on or off using the 'enable reminder' toggle.
After setting the charge reminder, go back and it will be sent to the AutoSleep Watch app. You can then verify that it is active as seen on the below image. Scroll the to the bottom of the Watch menu and a little battery icon should appear with the charge reminder time. If you do not see this, then the reminder has not be setup correctly or may be disabled.
Viewing Charge Reminders
AutoSleep then shows a notification on your Watch at the reminder time, as seen below:
It pops up and shows your current battery level and a recommendation if you need to charge the Watch. You can either Snooze it for 10, 30 or 60 minutes if not convenient or, you press Doing it Now. If you select "Doing it now" this indicates that you are putting the Watch on the charger now and you would like a reminder on your iPhone in one hour's time to put the Watch back on again. This reminder also has snooze options.
If you put the Watch on before the iPhone charge reminder is presented, then if you simply go into the AutoSleep Watch app and then go back out, this reminder will be cancelled.
Tip: A great tip is to add the batteries widget onto your iPhone's Today View. This displays the current charge of your Watch. This way you can decide if you want to Snooze for longer.
