TRACK YOUR SNORING
(Select your language using the flags below if required)
There is no energy data available to AutoSleep.ย
Your Apple Watch automatically sends the health data captured by its sensors to your iPhone. This is not done by the AutoSleep app, it is done by Apple system services. AutoSleep reads the data that has been sent to the iPhone.ย
NOTE: Some people have found that updating iOS has caused some problems in this area. You can usually always solve it in step B.
There are three reasons for this problem:
A). In the Apple Watch settings app (it has a black icon with a picture of a Watch) you have turned off โFitness Trackingโ in the Privacy section. Make sure that both Fitness Tracking and Heart Rate are turned ON. Also, make sure you have a passcode and wrist detection turned on in the passcode section. See below:
Orย
B). This is often caused by an iOS bug removing the permission to energy data during the update process.ย
To reset HealthKit permissions and iOS and Watch health services and ensure everything works on the watch going forward, please perform these steps. It is important to do all steps in this exact order especially step 2 as this restarts the crashed system services on your iPhone and Watch.ย
1. First we want to turn all permissions off. Go into Apple Health app on iPhone (the app icon is white with a red heart):
Select Sharing tab.
Scroll down and select Apps.ย
Select AutoSleep.
Make sure that all the switches are turned off (see below image showing OFF).
Note if on iOS 14 or under, you can find health permissions by going into the iPhone Settings - Privacy - Health - AutoSleep
2. Power both devices off and back on again, this includes the iPhone and the Watch. i.e. Shut down completely and restart. Instructions showing how to shut down devices:
iPhone: https://support.apple.com/en-au/HT201559
Watch: https://support.apple.com/en-au/HT204510
3. Next is allowing health permissions by turning them to ON. Go into Apple Health app on iPhone (the app icon is white with a red heart):
Select Sharing tab.
Scroll down and select Apps.ย
Select AutoSleep.
Make sure that all the switches are turned on (see below image showing ON).
Note if on iOS 14 or under, you can find health permissions by going into the iPhone Settings - Privacy - Health - AutoSleep
4. Now go into AutoSleep iPhone app and this should restore all permissions
The issue should now be resolved. If however you are still having issues, please reply to the original support email so we can assist.
If you are new to AutoSleep or just beginning, we recommend reviewing the Quick Start Guide, as it contains all the essential setup and workings of AutoSleep to make sure you have the app setup correctly.ย
